A spoiler is a term that refers to a phrase or any element of information that gives away the outcome of a work of fiction, i.e. Snape killing Dumbledore or something like that. Because enjoyment of fiction relies on the element of uncertainty and suspense that arises from it, getting spoiled by someone else regarding the outcome of a soap opera, or who will be killed in the end of the video game's storyline, is something that people fear about whenever we read, watch or play something.
Notable spoilers
- Severus Snape uses the Avada Kedavra curse on Albus Dumbledore, therefore killing the latter. In other words, SNAPE KILLED DUMBLEDORE!
- Ryder and Big Smoke betray Carl Johnson and his brother Sweet for drug money.
- Sofia Lamb sets off explosive charges throughout Persephone, fatally wounding Subject Delta.
- Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro blasts Tommy Angelo to death with a sawn-off shotgun in Mafia; their identities weren't revealed until the second game, though.
- Abigail Gregory is actually Sally Shine's sister in the Tower of Terror. Sally actually planned a surprise party for her sister, much to the latter's surprise.
